Today I'd like to show you a card I made with one of my very first alcohol ink panels. I was just playing and trying out different colour combinations. For this panel, I used red pink and yellow and filled almost all the space. 

I wanted to cover up some of it for the card, but not too much, so I chose this heart die cut with a lot of open space and adhered it flat to the panel. I added sentiment strips to say Happy Birthday with foam tape and added the whole panel to a black card base. To tie in the white from the die cut I added faux stitching with a white gel pen. 

For the envelope, I ink blended another panel with similar colours and cut out the hearts from that. The inside pieces I used for yet another Birthday card.

Personalized Birthday cards with alcohol inks

Hello Crafters, 

I am slowly working off all the cards I created last spring and summer. I wasn't even aware I did craft that much. It felt like I was completely out of Mojo all year, except for maybe the last 2 months. 

I had originally decided not to get any alcohol inks, on the basis that you can't have everything and that I'm not a professional crafter. Surprise: I caved and ordered some at the beginning of the first lockdown. 

When they arrived I created a bunch of panels just to try different colour combinations and try to achieve different looks. Basically to get to know them. 

Some of these panels are still around, but I think by now I managed to make most of them into cards. 

These two cards were created in much the same way, I die-cut the letters to spell out the recipient's names and added a heat embossed sentiment strip. 

 One of them I even forgot to send out in time, so I have that one for next year.

Happy Halloween

 Happy Halloween, 

how are you celebrating this year? 

I found it very difficult to plan this year.

Last year my girls wanted to do very different things on Halloween, so we had to compromise. Therefore we promised a big party this year, to the girl who had to compromise more. And now we can't keep our promise, unfortunately. But a big party clearly is not an option. 

So I let the girls make their wishes, and we are planning to make a creepy movie night. 

Since we aren't seeing anyone, we didn't create a single Halloween card this year. Which is why I picked at least a card with some purple in it for today's posting.

I created this alcohol ink panel on vellum and made the Llama peek out from the rings behind the sentiment. Then I added some glitter drops in matching colours.
