Happy Easter

Hello friends and happy Easter,

I had this card base already prepared from another crafting session when I was assembling my Easter cards. Not wanting it to acquire feline bite marks or footprints, I decided to use it now and quickly stamped coloured and cut another chick, just like the others.

I adhered the chicky with foam tape and added a simple Easter sentiment. I think the playful font goes well with the image.

I also created my own envelope with one of my very old unused patterned papers, I am proud of myself for trying to finally use them up.

I hope you will stay safe over Easter and still have a lovely time

Easter 2020

Hello Crafters,

with Easter fast approaching, it's about time I finally share last year's Easter cards, before it's too late and I have to wait another year.

I normally don't really send Easter cards, but with the current situation, I had to last year. And this year as well, as a matter of fact. Not usually needing them, I have VERY limited Easter supplies, which is why I completely made do without.

I used Spray Ink in red green and yellow to create the panels and an alphabet die set to cut out the letters for Easter (=Ostern). Then I cut apart a sentiment stamp and stamped the word happy (=frohe).

Very simple, but effective.

Stay safe and healthy

Easter Chickies

Hello Everyone,

how are you keeping up? Me personally, I've been sick of Corona measures for a long time now, but we are still sticking to them anyway. After all, it's worked for us so far, no one in the family has had it.

Since we're not able to see people this year - again -  I made some Easter cards.

Also, almost all of the supplies I used were a Birthday from the best Penpal there ever was (XOXO) and I wanted to play with them so, so, soo much.

I started out without a clear idea, by stamping and colouring the chicks and cutting them out. I love that stamp, it's so cute and can be used for Easter cards, without screaming Easter...

Then I decided to ground them on a wonkily stitched panel with some soft ink blending and a simple stamped sentiment. I tried a piercing die on one of the panels but liked it better without the pierced dots.

Then I used 2 different background stamps on the card base. I liked the pink caleidoscope stamp well enough, but it was slightly too busy. And then I totally fell for the bold brush strokes. That's so versatile. So I tried it out in different colours of Oxides.

Which version do you like best?

For the envelopes, I decided to use up some very old patterned papers, that I never used and am not likely to miss. I picked matching colours or patterns as best I could. I am proud to finally have made use of these papers.

Lots of love

Happy Easter and another bunny

Hello Crafters,

Just a very quick note from me:  one of my girls was ill last week, therefore I had no time for anything much. But at least I created another one of the little gift wraps, because as you know, I have two daughters...

So I did the other one the same way, only in different colours and stamped the other way round.

Wishing you all a very happy Easter!

Challenge up your life: Challenge #37: Bunnies

Hello Crafters,

it's time again for another Challenge at:

Ready for Easter, we are looking for Bunnies for the next two weeks.

Challenge #37 Bunny

Of course I used my favourite Bunny, from Purple Onions Design, and I wanted to use my brand new set of  Polychromos pencils. Yeah, I know, I said I would make do without. But my sister-in-law gave them to me for my Birthday a while ago. And I love them, THANKS!

I thought a little gift box for Easter would be nice, so I picked a bright orange card stock, die cut the pillow box and stamped and coloured directly on the box, without a belly band this time.

I thought blue would go well with the bright orange, and I think I was right.

So, show us all your bunnies, and don't forget to check out what the other ladies created.

Hugs

More cards featuring Birch

Hi there,

as my last post was so long, today I'll make it really quick. Promise.

Besides, I don't really have anything new, I would just like to show you two more cards I created with Birch, pretty much the same as before.

But I love the water coloured look. The first of these two cards is also the first I ever created with these stamps.

Have a wonderful day

Challenge #33 Colour combination

Hello Crafters,

I got the lovely purple onion bunny "Birch" for Christmas, I simple LOVE him, he’s so cute. Thanks again Jessa!
I already used the image quite a bit, you may have seen it on my 2016 Christmas cards, I posted a few days ago.

Today, I’d like to show you an Easter card I made with it. As Easter is so early this year, I thought it quite fitting that he’s dressed in mittens and a cap.

And as it's Challenge time again, over at

I used this weeks colour inspiration:

Challenge #33 Colour combinaton

I coloured the image with my Inktense pencils and die cut the tag from it, to piece it back in with foam tape. Just for a  bit of extra dimension.
For the envelopes I used thin watercolour paper and the envelope punch board and coloured the image again. I used less water on that, to avoid warping and set the envelopes under a heavy book overnight. As you can see, it's still warped a little, but in real life it's not quite as obvious as in the picture.

Have a nice day

Happy Easter

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all well. Today I took up our own Challenge and created another Easter card.

It's pretty simple, those butterflies from WPlus9 are all the rage right now and I know why: They ARE lovely!

I colored them with watercolor markers and a lot of water and adhered them at an angle.

Have a nice week-end!

Challenge up your life: Challenge #11 Easter

Hi Crafters,

it's Challenge day again, over at

This time we are Challenging all of you, who are not yet done with Easter cards:

Challenge #11 Easter

For me, this was quite hard, I don't have many Easter stamps in my stash. So I had to think of something else. I decided to stamp a large egg with tiny flowers. So I cut a negative mask and used a Wplus9 stamp for the flowers. Then I used Gelatos to create a watercolor background. I should have done it the other way round, then the outlines would have been more crisp.

Then I used some green scraps of paper to mat the corners and created a banner for the sentiment.

To be honest, I am not so happy with my card, I hope that I'll like it better tomorrow. I really should take up the Challenge myself and craft a few more Easter cards.

Have a great time!

Stenciled - Take 11

Hello Crafters,

today I spent a few minutes altering envelops to match my cards. And then I decided to play with stucture paste and my Rayher Spritzer tool.

Nothing went as I wanted, so in the end I am rather unhappy with my card, but I'll show you anyway.
Maybe you have suggestions how I could have done better:

First I used the Spritzer to mist the bottom left corner with teal and grey alcohol markers. That went well enough, but mind you: Spectrum Noir markers don't fit in, I had to hold the marker in place.
I would have wanted some bigger splotches, but I didn't have and mist or liquid ink refill I could have used for that, so I made do without.

Then I stencilled on the sturcture paste, but I really don't like how it is not entirely white. It shows up kind of greyish on the white card stock, but not enough to look grey on  purpose. So I thought I might heat emboss it in white, I wanted to try that out anyway. I didn't like the effect on this card, though I loved it on the little stars on Debby's owl card.

Next I punched and coloured the bird with alcohol markers. It was the first time I tried my new kind of cardstock with alcohol markers - it's no good. I need to stick to copic paper, but I only found thin one so far.

Then I created the sentiment and glued it all down. Last step I added some liquid pearls with a pearl maker pen. I think I'll colour a few of these with alcohol markers when they are dry.

Hope I'll be in a craftier mood tomorrow, today wasn't the best day for crafting - or anything else, actually...
